Bristol Children's Hospital Says A Grand Thank You!
"Thank you so much to Ashfield Land and to all of those who have kindly donated their £10.00 from registering to Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal. We are currently fundraising for an ECMO (Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenator) for Bristol Children's Hospital's Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. An ECMO is used when a baby or child has a serious condition which prevents the lungs or heart from working normally, most frequently after open heart surgery. It is a supportive measure that uses an artificial lung to oxygenate the blood outside the body. Children treated with an ECMO are very seriously ill. Your very generous donations will enable us to reach a step closer in being able to provide this vital piece of equipment. Thank you to everyone!"
